TWIN OWLS STEAKHOUSE
A small, attractive carved sign using stained log posts and HDU
for the face, this sign is a simple statement that the
customer has arrived at the right location. Not a blaring
advertisement, but an attractive detail.

 THE MUNCHIN HOUSE
This sign demonstrates a simple tenet of effective
signbuilding that we have been preaching for years.
(If you can't figure it out from this picture, you'll have
to call and ask what the secret is). As a testament to the
quality of SOL signs, this picture was taken about 8 years
after the sign was installed. Still looks like new!

 D&S AUTO REPAIR
100% HDU with some dramatic paint effects and 23kt hand laid gold on the initials. This sign shines! The customer said he might not install it outside because it was 'so nice'. That's what we like to hear...
(although, it is made to be outdoors for many years)

WINE and CHEESE
Combining artistic, fine art quality hand painting on a shaped panel that incorporated the local Longs Peak icon, and a V-groove routed name panel. This is a pair of dramatic signs that teased the passer-by to sample the complete experience of these well thought out businesses, once they ventured inside of this side-by-side store arrangement.

 MOUNTAIN WOOL WORKS
Machine and hand carved in HDU. The door lettering offered the
address and location data- the sign was a timeless,
location-less business identifier that could be moved anywhere.

 ESTES PARK VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPT
This donor panel is updated every year and pays tribute to generous supporters. Several materials in use: HDU for the panels that are routed and hand shaped, then glass smaltz on the left side (sparkling jet-black glass fragments), and digital printing to reproduce the logo and text panels.

THE OLD CHURCH SHOPS
This sign was a new replacement that replicated a previous sign, incorporating a routed HDU panel and digital print to reproduce the hand painted perspective of their frontage.

SUNSET RIDGE
..is HDU with a hammered surface painted
copper with raised, cut acrylic text, a steel internal frame
and mounting plate.  Sunset graphic is edge printed
on acrylic and inset.

CHIROPRACTIC WORKS
The 10' long carved sign topped the building frontage

THE MAD MOOSE
With the hand carved text highlighted in the close-up, the sign
showcases hand carving, v-groove carved letters and a hand
shaped moose head. The material is HDU.

 SHEAR MAGIC
Effectively creating a vintage sign with modern materials,
this dimensional sign includes hand painting, routed
& carved scissors (HDU) and distressed finish that
gives the impression of an old, trustworthy business.

CASA GRANDE
From the creation of their unique logo this sign shows that bright
colors can fit into a mountain community! The Casa grande sign
is a combination of MDF, HDU, acrylic and digital printing.

PRIVATE RESIDENCE
On a HDU base, the lettering rises above, and is also incise
carved into the surface of this private home sign.

 BARLOW PLAZA
Featuring carved HDU and gold leaf, this sign shines!

THE OLD CHURCH SHOPS
This interior directory incorporates HDU, acrylic tenant panels
with magnets for easy transitions, and printed logos.

CANDYS PIE SHOP
The top sign panel is ours, and isn't really wood! Using super-durable HDU and a woodgrain painting technique, this sign was
easy to rout and built to last a long time.

 MOUNTAIN GATE CONDOS
Creating pride for their community members, this sign
is an attractive welcome to their well-kept neighborhood.

YMCA of the ROCKIES
A carved HDU sign fits in nicely with natural stone and timbers
for this cabin themed mountain style project.
