Smokey Bear Fire Danger Sign

To enhance communication with the public regarding current fire danger conditions, this fire danger sign is built to withstand years of outdoor use. Composite aluminum panels provide a remarkably sturdy, lightweight background. Smokey’s arm is secured pointing at the current danger level (optional padlock prevents unauthorized changes). Premium cast vinyl graphic materials used for lettering and the Smokey image are fabricated with the most widely used 3M products in the sign market today, yielding years of fade resistant performance.

The Smokey image is a beautiful full color image from a classic Forest Service poster, frequently mistaken for a hand painted image.

 Project Showcase | Estes Park, Colorado

This beautiful installation in Estes Park, Colorado includes a message on the back of the sign directed at the firefighters leaving the station. The posts at the top of the sign accept a rider panel for temporary messages (Fire Ban, etc). They are built into the steel frame that is part of the installation. We also provided the custom routed Maltese cross that floats in the front of the hand peeled logs.

Copy
May be customized (similar to example), at minimum should include “FIRE DANGER” in bold text. Rear face of sign may also be lettered according to your needs. Call to discuss logos or text after considering mounting method to allow a full view of the back of the sign panel (see example above).

Colors
Ivory background, USFS rating colors, dark brown text, burgundy border; non-reflective.

Most common size panel is shown: 48” x 64”, one sided,
with movable arm that points to the current fire danger.
